This is Abuja Park, Upper Iweka. Few years ago, this was one of the busiest park in Onitsha. Between 10 to 15 Luxurious buses leave here daily to Abuja. Today, you can see no single bus here. Election has its consequences. The Agberos no get voters card, they don't vote, thinking it won't affect them. It's been 112 years since nigeria was made a country and 65 years since we got independence and in all this years we Igbos have been Igbos and is still Igbos The population of the big threes in 1952 was; Huasas: 5.6 million people Igbos: 5 million people Yorubas: 4.8 million people The population of the big threes in 2026 are; Huasas: 51.5 million people Yorubas: 37.5 million people Igbos: 36.8 million people The Igbos have 10 million registered voters which is 11.67% of Nigeria's total voters pool. We are the most hated nation in nigeria and have no influence even in our home base, where the Igbos of South South don't want to associate with we the igbos of the South East What this means is that, yes we can affect the outcome of an election and influence the results but we can never become president with only 11% of our votes ( assuming every Igbo vote which is statistically impossible) In 1960 after independence, the Igbo economy grew faster than any major economies in the world, faster than America, japan, Singapore and faster than any nation in the world It turns out that the Igbos were much more powerful and strong when we had a strong foundational base and real all-round influence in Nigeria and all of those was lost 57 years ago after the Igbo massacre What the Igbos need is; Rebuilding the Igbo economy Rewriting our histories Debunking the Igbo lies Reuniting the home land Rebuilding Igbo influence, and Bringing other minority nigerian tribes to align with us Before we achieve this, our 10 million votes can affect a change in Nigeria's federal elections but 11% of our votes cannot make an Igbo person president So tell me again, what is the Igbo relevance in Nigeria's politics if we can determine the outcome of election's but have no support to become one? Until the South South Igbos sees a reason to align with the South East Igbos, no other minority groups will and until we become powerful, resourceful, economic integrated, nobody will. So, yes they might need your votes but they won't vote for us and that's how irrelevant we are. Let's build Igbos to what Igbo used to be, our fathers did it being Igbos only and we can do it again but first being Igbos only. We live in a federation so technically it doesn't matter who becomes president, Igbos should focus more on Igbo politics especially those we send to Abuja as senators and house of assembly members and those we elect as executive governors. Then we at home begins to rebuild Igbo influence until we are fit and worth the attention of other Nigerian nations. Gives me 150k but has never given my parents or siblings money for 6 months that we have been married. I told him we need to be rotating it. Unfortunately, many do not pay attention to this as they should. The 500k analysis that I did excludes rents, utility bills, school fees, health, etc. We are in a very precarious situation. 12 years of massive deterioration under the APC government. I just realized a few months ago that, if not because of X revenues, I would have been struggling to save and pay bills alone, despite being amongst the 1% of top 9-5 earners in the country. And I don't live a flamboyant lifestyle. Just basic ways of living, which almost every legitimate human being should live. Realky pathetic.
