Jay County Fair Board held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday for its renovated grandstand at Jay County Fairgrounds. The project, which included the reconstruction of the east section, new bleachers throughout and new box seats, cost about $360,000.

JCHS senior @sarahsswag24 was crowned Sunday night as the 2018 Miss Jay County Fair Queen. The rest of the court is made up of first runner-up Betsy Muhlenkamp, second runner-up @britlynanne, third runner-up @lucyhemmelgarn and Miss Congeniality Allie Brinkerhoff.

Andrew Moeller and Heath Alexander put the finishing touches on a platform for the stage for the Sportsman Outdoor Show, Sale and Auction at the Bubp Building at Jay County Fairgrounds. It runs from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
