@HLTCO, what's the feeling among the match going fans towards Glasner now? Staying up, and in the latter stages of a European trophy. Genuinely hope it ends well for you, as I think it deserves to.
English

@FootballInT80s Incredible that the club captain - who then played in the final and lifted the trophy - was on co-comms for the game. Set us up nicely for the final, my first ever euro away as a 16 year old. Great memories.

@PRIMEPHASE @grok, what is the song that the fans are singing, and what are the words (translated to English)?
English

From 2:50 onwards, I swear, I have never seen anything like this before. Argentina, best fans in the world. 🇦🇷

Did he just glitch the game again? 👀

@lukestanley03 Lovely to read some of the comments on here. People are overwhelmingly decent, and I'm happy to hear you're ok.
English

@HLTCO Love your content, mate. And more do than don't. By a considerable distance.

1) I have kicked a ball in my life, I have mild cerebral palsy, I’m not wheelchair bound.
2) People seem to appreciate what I do with the podcasts and my writing over the years, if they didn’t, I wouldn’t be able to do it.
3) As Arrigo Sacchi once said: “I never realised that to be a jockey you had to be a horse first”.

@HLTCO How do you genuinely get to talk about football when you’ve never kicked a ball in your life?
English

@The_Forty_Four Class. And to think we're letting the world's wealthy take over and change our game (and match going) for the benefit of money and power.
English

@HLTCO Incredible, match winning save. Right up there with some of the best saves I've ever seen. Top keeper, no doubt.
English

A few in the replies to the below tweet called it an average save from Jordan Pickford. It’s anything but, that ball is absolutely flying.
HLTCO@HLTCO
Incredible keeper. You only need to speak to Everton fans to know how much they’ve leant on him over the years.
English

@StokeyyG2 One of the best saves I've ever seen. Won the game too. Incredible.
English

Wow. Utterly spellbinding!

Can’t get enough of this Born Slippy / The Streets collab. Simply iconic.

Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup 5th Round at Highbury
The limbs in the North Bank as Brian McClair blasted this 87th minute penalty to equalise over the bar are unbelievable

@RingwayPaul @WhitesideOne I heard that the way Arsenal celebrated that day irked. It got a bit tasty, and lingered. My first visit to Arsenal was 83 (league). We got beat 3-0 and Atkinson & Moses got sent off, in part because they targeted Remi due to him kicking them all around the park in the 4-2 🇾🇪😆
English

@jaydeblanc @WhitesideOne Oh right. I was at the ‘79 final, didn’t know there was trouble that day. We even let Liam Brady run 50 yards with the ball, without putting a challenge in! 😂
English

@HLTCO I'm genuinely gutted for you and Palace fans as it didn't need to end like this. I think it's fair to say that the club have let him down, but it could have been handled so differently by him.

I’ve said for a few weeks now that I feel Oliver Glasner’s time as our manger is over.
He decided he was going to leave in October, made that news public in January despite the board telling him that it wouldn’t do any good and is now on a run of 1 win in 15 games in all competitions.
I’ll always be incredibly grateful for what he has achieved as our manager, the FA Cup win legitimately felt like a life changing moment as a fan back in May of 2025 and still does now but I just don’t believe that he is now getting the best out of the group.
Whether it’s just a tiny shift in intensity leading to poor results or something more serious, it now feels obvious that things aren’t going to improve particularly between now and the end of the season.
Ultimately, however simplistic or basic it may sound, I believe that the manager of our football club should want to be there for the long haul, not just until his contract runs its course.
I understood, in broad terms, the thought process behind not sacking him and allowing his deal to come to an end but it feels untenable from my point of view.
English

@RingwayPaul @WhitesideOne I heard it started at the 79 final (between the two benches), and the Stapleton transfer then took it on. The 83 Milk Cup semi final definitely contributed to.
English

@MarkHowsham @CelticLisboaa 100% Mark. I hate it. And it's here t stay
English

@NiadhMcaoidh @CelticLisboaa That would make as much as sense (to me) if it was written in a language I didn't understand.
English

@PaulosEFC @CelticLisboaa Agreed. Cutting the allocation - appears to me - to have taken something from the game. I support neither club but grew up watching Rangers v Celtic in the 80s, which is why I still have an interest now. What a fixture. For me, up there with Boca/River as a bucket list thing.
English

@jaydeblanc @CelticLisboaa Now and again i look up the Ibrox Derby where Moravcik got a brace and Laarson went around the keeper and scored.
That was serious limbs.
I've seen it from both sets of fans to be fair.
It was another reason that Derby was so good to watch in the 80s and 90s.
