Hey, education groups in GA … here is an easy way to help. Some kids need help with their school lunch plan balances (I assume this is common in many districts across the area). This is money well spent to help those in need. It is tough to focus on class with a hungry stomach.

I haven’t been very impressed with Thursday night football recently. The matchups are bad enough, but add violent criminal Richard Sherman and Taylor Swift to the mix, and you’ve got an unwatchable mess of a football game. Instead of going to Hooters to watch, I hosted the guys at my house for a game of tackle football and dinner. Mario brings some steaks, I provide the ice-cold, non-woke domestic beers, and we all play a little ball and horse around. Mario arrived on the dot at 6 pm with his crew of guys from the butcher shop and a large cooler of meat in tow. I greeted him with a warm, masculine embrace and walked him in. “She’s all yours, my boy,” I said as I removed the grill cover. “As always, your meat is the main event.” By 6:30, the rest of the guys had arrived, and Mario was hard at work grilling some gorgeous steaks. We decided to kill time by slamming some domestics and setting up the game of tackle football in the backyard. We had an odd number due to Mario’s preoccupation with the grill, so I volunteered to play one-man short on my team to make things more equitable. We embarked on a grueling and physical slugfest of a game. We were tied 28-28 when we heard Mario’s deep, piercing voice cry out, “The meat is resting; we’ll be ready to feast soon!” My team was on defense with a critical 4th and short upcoming. We agreed that the next score would win, adding even more pressure to the forthcoming 4th down play. Everyone on the field knew the next play would be a power run up the right side, so I stacked right behind two of my guys, defending the hole for reinforcement. “It’s 4th down,” I shouted to my teammates. “Don’t worry about stripping him, get both your hands on him and take him to the ground!” The ball was snapped and handed off, but Matteo ran into a brick wall of masculine guys. His thick and powerful legs weren’t strong enough to penetrate our line, and he was stuffed short. TURNOVER ON DOWNS. The boys immediately started celebrating, but I stepped in and put the hammer down, “the job isn’t finished yet,” I said intensely. “No celebration until the game has been sealed, boys!” The team quickly refocused, and we broke the huddle. I lined up under center and surveyed the defense. I noticed Vincenzo, one of Mario’s butcher’s apprentices, was lined up slightly favoring the right side. He was the only high safety, and I instantly knew he was playing cover 1. “Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe,” I shouted out to my receivers, calling the audible we had practiced for this very scenario. I snapped the ball and dropped back. The pressure was coming from my blind side, but I felt it and scampered right. I could see Vincenzo following my eyes intently to try and jump the route. I had him exactly where I wanted him. I glanced at the slot receiver as he made his cut towards the middle of the field and pump faked. Vincenzo didn’t just bite; he bit HARD. Half a beat later, he was completely out of the play, and I looked to my left to see Terrell streaking down the sideline, wide open. He had torched his defender with a perfectly executed double move and had a clear path to the end zone. TOUCHDOWN. Game over. I smoothly launched a towering deep ball right before the pressure could get to me, and it was caught in stride, like Brady to Moss. We all sprinted to meet Terrell and piled on him in celebration. The only thing more savory than the taste of victory is the taste of Mario’s succulent steaks, which we all enjoyed moments later. We ended the night by breaking out the cigars and piling into the hot tub to recover from our epic gridiron showdown. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce can get bent. The left hates that alpha males don’t need the NFL to enjoy their Thursday evenings.
