BREAKING: The #Dolphins and Pro Bowl RB De'Von Achane have agreed to a 4-year extension worth $68M, making him the NFL’s 3rd-highest-paid RB at $17M per year with $32M guaranteed, per multiple sources.
The APY and guarantees are the most ever for RBs coming off rookie contracts in a deal negotiated by @Leah_Knight of @RocNationSports.

The pass rushing isn’t the problem. Wide 9 defense and he’s producing double digit sacks. It’s the run stopping. The edge setting. Someone needs to cut those plays out

@collinsworth55 @JohnMendez1220 there are only 450 active roster slots in the nba. there are over 1,690 in the nfl. that doesn’t include practice squad players. the nfl has the space to draft project players who can grow into real contributors. basketball just doesn’t have the space. not cuz it’s more skilled

When I say football isn’t a high skilled sport this is exactly what I mean. Dude has never played football before and got drafted. You have to be extremely athletic and strong but nobody is drafting someone in the NBA who has never played basketball before. Too much skill in 🏀

@lsyanka @Jason_Sarney i don’t think they see louis as a true every down linebacker. he will play some safety and probably overall be a chess piece. he is incredible in coverage and has fantastic instincts. he can make an impact at safety or nickel. i think he’s too small to be a true linebacker

@Jason_Sarney The thing I am most shocked about is the doubling down on linebacker. We are pretty set there. Was truly hoping for an edge rusher we can count on. All in all they got good value at a few spots.

New regime in place should have their own guys. The TL for this team to be competitive neither Brooks or Dodson fits based on their age.

@GeeVee305 @9inchnige @KingOfPhinland that’s because a blocking tight end is the least exciting position in football, but it’s one of the most important. every single team with a strong run game and an effective offense utilizes an inline TE for blocking purposes and a receiving TE to stretch the field.
