ngl it feels good stanning idols who actually have the guts to stand on business. idols who are willing to correct people, set boundaries, and make the current situation clear even when they KNOW certain sides of the fandom will twist their words and come for them afterward. that’s exactly why i respect them so much though. cuz it takes real courage to protect your members instead of choosing the easy route and staying conveniently silent. some people act like avoiding everything is ‘maturity,’ but personally? i admire idols who are brave enough to speak when it matters. especially when one of them literally used his own birthday live to shut down weird behavior and protect the members from constant spam and narrative pushing. knowing damn well he’d get dragged for it later too 😭 but he still did it anyway. that says a lot about his character actually. same with the leader too. despite being young, he clearly understands responsibility and how to handle situations with maturity. and honestly all the members have been doing it in their own ways, directly or indirectly continuing to reaffirm the current group as it is now, even while getting scrutinized for every breath they take. that’s why i’ll always have more respect for people who choose honesty and responsibility over ambiguity that only leaves everyone else to clean up the mess 🥰

the issue was never simply “mentioning his former fandom’s name” people are frustrated cuz context exists, and pretending it doesn’t is exactly why this situation keeps getting uglier. when a departure already caused months of chaos. boycotts, nonstop ‘the group is seven, still seven, always seven’ propaganda, members being reduced to punching bags, every word they say getting dissected in bad faith, then casually feeding that attachment again without clarifying anything is irresponsible at best. especially when the people carrying the actual consequences are the ones who stayed. and that’s the part some of y’all intentionally ignore. the current members have been trying so hard to stabilize the group’s image and protect each other while constantly getting attacked. one member speaks up against disrespectful spam, suddenly he’s ‘shady.’ another tries to reassure fans? overanalyzed for days. they can never win cuz certain people already decided the remaining members are villains for simply continuing their careers. meanwhile the person who left gets romanticized no matter what. silence becomes ‘pure class.’ ambiguity becomes ‘maturity.’ avoiding accountability becomes ‘being unbothered and true man.’ but if anyone points out the obvious impact of his actions, suddenly they’re ‘haters.’ the double standard is genuinely fascinating. cuz realistically, what exactly was gained from that interaction besides reigniting narratives that were finally starting to die down? the people screaming ‘he’ll come back’ will only become louder, the boycott behavior will get worse again, and the members still in the group will once again absorb all the backlash while outsiders act clueless about why fans are upset. that’s why calling it a coward move isn’t even harsh to me. if you know your words still heavily influence a fandom environment this unstable, but you continue to move ambiguously while others deal with the fallout for you, then yes, people are going to question your responsibility in all this. especially when the ones getting dehumanized daily are not even the person who left, but the members who stayed and kept carrying the group forward regardless.
