BIG NEWS FROM ME: DAY ONE. 🚀 I've left my Chief Product Officer role at Adapptor. Nearly 3 years creating great work with some phenomenal people. But recently I'd been watching a door open and I had nearly 20 years of exactly the right skills to walk through it. So I'm taking that step. Today OVRFLO is live. Most small and medium sized businesses sit in an awkward gap. Their digital product needs are too complex for a freelancer but too lean to justify what enterprise charges for custom builds. That gap used to be cavernous. But the math has changed. Now 1 experienced operator with the right AI stack can carry what previously needed 4 or 5 people. OVRFLO is an AI-native product studio in Fremantle built specifically for that gap. A small team with big capability focussed on designing and building digital products worth using. Websites. Web apps. Mobile Apps. A senior product team at a cost that makes sense. I'm building this for companies with 5 to 50 people. Big enough to have real product needs. But not big enough to staff a product team. I've been doing this work professionally since 2008. I co-founded Juicebox and grew it for 14 years. Co-founded Menuzen, a hospitality startup counting Subway and MECCA as customers. Then at Adapptor I worked with the Office of Digital Government, Transperth, Galvins Plumbing and more. I know what great product takes. And I know how much of it moves faster now with modern tooling. But I believe output is not outcome. This new found speed allows us to focus more on what matters. What should we build, and more importantly what shouldn’t we? Quicker iteration means more time for quality. And that means standing out. OVRFLO runs across 3 tiers: Guide — AI and product team strategic advisory Create — Digital product design, prototypes and full builds Drive — Full product leadership embedded in your team First client already signed. To prove the model I built Backbone. An AI system running OVRFLO's entire operation. Meeting templates with realtime transcription and insights, contracts, a CRM, task management, project docs, error monitoring... All connected to a knowledge agent that gets sharper the more it's used because it compounds client context over time. It's voice-enabled so I talk, it handles it. I built Backbone because the infrastructure I wanted didn't exist. So I made it. This week I'll be posting every day. The services in detail, how I built Backbone, and how the OVRFLO.studio site was built with AI as a creative partner. The whole picture. Am I nervous? You betcha. I’m all in on this and there’s no going back. But I believe so strongly in this direction, I’m betting it all on helping small and medium sized businesses grow once again. LLMs aren’t just changing search, they’re reshaping how people discover our work. As expected, search referrals from Google have dipped. But traffic from LLMs is significant (and growing). And it’s not just clicks... these visitors are turning into more (and often better) leads. Our approach hasn’t changed: write for humans first, while always considering best practice (SEO, code, structure). GEO may be the new SEO, but the fundamentals of clarity and relevance still apply.
