Using an experiment (n=136) with fictitious job ads & moderated mediation analysis, finds: women high in stigma consciousness = stronger token effects in male-majority ads & less attracted to those firms. Women low in stigma consciousness less likely to perceive #tokenism (3/4).

@Rightanglenews @libsoftiktok They wouldn't be hired because they must be able to perform the job duties. That list is for informational purposes that cover other disabilities well. Nobody would hire a person with some of those disabilities as an air traffic controller. DEI policies cannot go outside law.

Current job listing for an air traffic controller on the FAA's website is open to people with disabilities including psychiatric & intellectual delays.
Doesn't it make you feel safe knowing your air traffic controller can have an intellectual disability or have a seizure while directing your flight?
DEI will get people k*ll*d.

@rcam_tv @libsoftiktok True. But to cherry pick and highlight things like brain damage and seizures is misleading because that is not how DEI works. Any applicant and employee must still be capable to do the job. So with this in place, now a veteran with a missing arm can apply.

@libsoftiktok That's not how that works. They still must be able to perform the job, even when an employer is trying to be inclusive. That means that individuals with the characteristics you highlighted would not be eligible. However, those with a disability (e.g. veterans missing an arm) are.
