The world's first genomic study into ME, or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, has been announced. Researchers are hoping that by building a genetic map of the illness, it will help pave the way for a future diagnostic test and even treatments. But charities have warned that there is more to do and this must only be the start.

My life is relentless at the moment. Samuel is back in hospital, back to being unable to maintain o2 levels. But what upsets me the most is people are being left in corridors for hours and hours, sometimes days, stripped of their dignity. It's so damm inhumane.

I need to get upstairs to bed and also to go to the toilet...but upstairs is a long way up for someone who suffers with such severe fatigue that their legs collapse and can't hold their weight up... I'll have to stay downstairs for now and crawl up as soon as I can 😩

Also adding that we've been entirely reliant on the NHS, which brings home the state it's in. It's important to note that it's down to the care of immigrants that NHS is still going. This country needs to stop scapegoating immigrants. Look to the powers at be for blame, not them.

I've been very quiet on here. It's been an incredibly challenging couple of months. Samuel was admitted into hospital at the end of August and when he came out 17 days later, he had more problems than he went in with. Another auto immune diagnosis, catheters etc. (1)

Deeply concerned about the safety of those on the flotilla. We know the government will try ignore it - it's really important we all speak up and raise our voices. This is a group of people delivering baby food to Gaza and the Government must intervene to ensure their safety.
