On Apple Music your song would have to be streamed roughly 128 times to earn $1. On Spotify it would have to be streamed 250 times.

@AbLemxn @CherryIlls Yes it's called a mechanical license. U.S. copyright law requires it to record or distribute material that you don't own. If you are an independent artist you can get these yourself from songfile.com

@CherryIlls In the U.S. you do need permission even if you aren't making a profit. But if you don't make a profit, you don't get sued. There is nothing to take.
