@GDragonDev @PeterJCasaey @alexfredo87 Precisely. At the end of the day, we can try and teach others in a collaborative manner, being didactic about things, but... To each their own.

@PeterJCasaey @jaynensei @alexfredo87 The UVs on the face is mirrored. The eye that is "covered by teeth" are not used. The face is symmetrical, so you get double the texel density in the same texture size by using mirrors.

The magic prompt I use to convert old game textures like Shenmue to HD with Nanobanana Pro is : "Generate a hd realistic version of this texture, keep near of the original, it's a woman face uv unwrap". It works like a charm! I hope modders see my post, I'd really love to see lots of old games remastered.

@PeterJCasaey @alexfredo87 Seems like you completely missed the point bro. Shenmue was released in 1999. The Sega Dreamcast textures had a very small image resolution due to the memory size capacity of hardware at the time.
What you consider "garbage", is actually insanely professionally skilled.

@PeterJCasaey @alexfredo87 That's how UV Maps works - think of it as a unfolding rubix cube. Specially in old hardware, they had to optimize the pixel data of a texture to an insane degree. Japanese developers specially were infamous to taking these techniques to the next level.

@HighlySpammable I know I'm 5 years late, but this is really great idea. Gonna use spacebar from now onwards, cheers mate!

Frequently working with materials in #UE4? Set "Start Previewing Node" to a hotkey and rejoice. I use space bar. Now you just tap space to preview it from that point in the graph instead of right clicking and selecting it. A small saving in a frequent action saves a lot of time!
