The centre is already taking steps to retrieve our ships stuck in strait of Hormuz. The government has also been proactive in looking for alternate options to make up from Qatar's LPG ever since Qatar Energy was struck on 2nd March. Even before the application of EPSA, the center had asked our refineries to increase production of LPG. Now, the supply of commercial cylinders has started again. So, what is Congress trying to achieve by this protest? Show India in bad light?
K C Venugopal@kcvenugopalmp

The LPG Crisis is mounting day by day, and the Centre is taking no concrete steps to address this, beyond empty platitudes. Joined the protest of Opposition MPs demanding a clear roadmap for the Centre to address the widespread panic among the people about this LPG shortage.

The Congress' attitude of discrediting India as a country in its urge to shoot down any positive news for the government has reached another low as today they have not downplayed the international might of the Indian flag but is also spreading false news about the destination of these ships, which are headed to Mumbai.

The @narendramodi government has once again proven its might as the strongest voice of Independent India, the world has ever seen. While all other countries are running from pillar to post to secure a safe passage through Strait of Hormuz, all it takes for PM Modi's goodwill is a phone call. India has well and clearly reached the vishwaguru stage wherein all countries across the globe respect its interests

The sole political party in Kerala that does not require any financial expenditure to assemble thousands is the BJP and its associated organizations. The cadre is so deeply entrenched that we have suffered the loss of over 300 lives in our commitment to uphold the spirit of our ideology. Remarks of this nature from communal bigots, such as this individual, are an affront to the thousands of Karyakartas and supporters who have willingly volunteered to take part in the event. None of us are organ traders; our ethics and self-respect are far too high to demean others with such trivial comments.

Dear @JohnBrittas, Identity may not be a 'spelling contest', but neither is it a contest of who can mock personal choices like diet to score petty political points. You graciously 'embraced' @ShashiTharoor despite his 'disciplined vegetarianism' in a land of fish curry? How magnanimous of you to tolerate a sattvic lifestyle in God's Own Country! Let me remind you: vegetarianism isn't some imported Oxford habit – it's deeply rooted in Sanatana Dharma, followed by crores of Hindus across Bharat, including many proud Malayali families in Kerala itself who choose vegetarianism without needing lessons in 'negotiation over delicacies'. Your attempt to paint non-veg as the only authentic 'Malayali' way is not cultural pride – it's culinary chauvinism wrapped in red flags. True pluralism celebrates all paths: the fish-eating coastal traditions and the vegetarian ethos of temples, ashrams, and millions who fast on Ekadashi or live sattvic lives year-round. The name change to Keralam was a unanimous Assembly decision, supported across parties and graciously cleared by the Modi government because we respect linguistic heritage and federal spirit – unlike some who only remember 'unity' when it suits their narrative. But dragging someone's personal vegetarian discipline into it? That's not wit; that's just low-grade communal stereotyping from the same camp that loves to lecture others on tolerance.Keralam or Kerala, Mallu or Malayali – we are all Bharatiya first. Let's debate development, jobs, and real issues facing the state (floods, youth migration, investment drought) instead of gatekeeping food plates. After all, under BJP's vision of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, there's a place for every taste – veg, non-veg, or even your famous fish curry – without insults.
John Brittas@JohnBrittas

Of course, identity is not a spelling contest, dear Tharoorji. It is not won or lost over vowels and consonants pronounced in Oxford accents or in our നാട്ടുഭാഷ. For us, it has always been Keralam — in memory, in poetry, in struggle — even when officialdom preferred to trim it to Kerala and the world carelessly reduced it further to Keral. And that is precisely why your party stood shoulder to shoulder with ours in the Assembly and unanimously resolved to restore the name to Keralam. But please, do not let that restrain your linguistic liberties. You may call your home Keral, Kerala, or Keralam. And surely you haven’t forgotten: we embraced you warmly despite your impeccably anglicised Malayalam and your disciplined vegetarianism in a land that negotiates politics over fish curry and other delicacies! @ShashiTharoor #Keralam #KeralaToKeralam #KeralaRenamed #KeralamOfficial #GodsOwnKeralam x.com/ShashiTharoor/…

While it's easy to dismiss criticism of vocal Keralites as bigotry, let's stick to verifiable facts. Kerala has unfortunately been linked to several terror-related incidents and activities:Key figures in major blasts had Kerala origins: Malayalis Shibili P. Abdul Karim and his brother Shaduli are the key convicts in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial bomb blast case, identified as a computer expert and mastermind associated with the banned outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). In February 2022, a special Gujarat court sentenced them to death for their role in the attacks, which claimed 56 lives.  Shibili was also implicated in other terror cases, including the 2008 Hubli blast, the 2006 Mumbai train blast, and for organizing a SIMI training camp in Wagamon, Kerala, in 2007. T. Naseer (from Kannur) orchestrated the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts; SIMI (with Kerala ties) held training camps in Ernakulam linked to the 2008 Ahmedabad bombings; PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani (from Kerala) was accused in the 1998 Coimbatore blasts that killed 58 people. In March 2006, the Kerala Legislative Assembly (under both UDF and LDF influence) unanimously passed a resolution seeking the release of Abdul Nasser Madani on "humanitarian grounds" while he was a prime accused in the Coimbatore terror case. In 2008, four Keralites, including Abdul Raheem from Malappuram, were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir while allegedly attempting to cross over to Pakistan Banned outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) was founded in Kerala and faced allegations of terror links, including funding terrorism, arms training, and connections to groups like SIMI and ISIS; it was banned nationally in 2022 for unlawful activities prejudicial to India's security. LeT-linked operative Thadiyantavida Naseer (from Kerala) has been tied to recruitment for jihad, international terror networks, and blast cases, even recruiting from prison in some reports. Kerala remains a major hub for gold smuggling and related hawala networks (often linked to funding illicit activities): From 2021–2025, customs seized gold worth ~₹1,277 crore across Kerala's airports (Kochi leading with 935 cases); earlier periods saw thousands of cases, though recent duty cuts reduced smuggling volumes. This isn't about painting all Keralites with the same brush. Most are law-abiding and contribute immensely to India. But ignoring documented patterns of radical elements, political resolutions favoring accused terrorists, and smuggling networks only enables problems. Time for accountability and stronger action, not deflection or denial.#FactsOverNarratives #NationalSecurity #JayathuKeralam

🍖The new punching bag for the BJP and its mouth pieces is Kerala. 🍖They have already given up on Kerala, if they had any slim hope of winning seats in Kerala, they wouldn't be demonising Kerala. 🍖Look at the impunity with which Smita demonises Kerala because she has the supreme leaders protection. 🍖 She does not want to accept the community note for her tweet, this is her response to it. 🍖 I only wish Smita to be inundated by responses from Kerala, that will be sweet.

I hope they will also change their Pakistani-looking flag to a more 'secular' one, so that even @RahulGandhi and @priyankagandhi won't have to ask them not to use it in their rallies, as was seen in Wayanad.

On one hand, there is a call to eliminate Sanatan. For them, it is akin to malaria. On the other hand, there are ordinary individuals who honor the essence of our culture through their participation and by guiding the new generation along the path of Dharma. A delightful video from the Kerala temple festival, known as Kuthiyootam, features a very young talent.

To understand why @cpimspeak leaders compelled the family of former Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan to decline the Padmavibhushan conferred upon him by the Indian State, it is essential to explore the story of Chakan Lal, also known as Satyabhakta. He was a member of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the communist party during its formative years in the mid-1920s. He was ultimately driven out of the movement because he believed that the communist movement should have been designated as the Indian Communist Party instead of the Communist Party of India. For him, this issue transcended mere nomenclature; it was about the entire ideological framework. He was opposed to any affiliation with the International (Comintern), arguing that Indian communists should not be viewed as agents of Russia. Instead, he posited that Indian communism should be seen as a component of Lord Ram's grand vision of Ramrajya. This stance incited his fellow comrades, leading to his exit from the organization. Even today, comrades struggle to accept the Indian state, convinced that they are part of a global network. For them, accepting the Padma Vibhushan signifies an acceptance of the concept of the Indian state and its nationality, which fundamentally contradicts the core principles of the communist movement. The family of Achuthanandan stands as the most recent victim of this betrayal.

Marxist MP @JohnBrittas quotes rules in the Rajya Sabha to compel @SadanandanMash to remove the artificial limbs conferred upon him due to the violent actions of the CPI(M) from public view. John's display of such intolerance towards an opposition MP reveals his true character and origins. Left brutality continues to haunt leaders like Masterji, even in Rajyasabha.

Seems like the Christians in the Left are finally waking up to the threat of Islamic extremism, which is plaguing God's own country. It is unfortunate that the state, which was known for its literacy and industrial progress at the time of independence, is now in headlines for ISIS brides and communal violence. The degradation under the decades of Congress and Communist rule has plunged the state into darkness. 2026 is a golden for every malayali across the state to keep this rise of radical elements in check through the power of ballot.

Arundhati Roy warns that Kerala may become a Lebanon if fascist communal hate fire is lit in the state. Kerala, she said, is one of the last few outposts of sanity. “I do not know how long are we going to stand up but we have so far stood up. I hope that we will always stand up.”
