“This is what just happened while we were walking through the park. This patrol car stopped and my daughter immediately put her hands up she got terrified thinking we did something wrong when a female police officer approached us with tears in our eyes. She said that her child is the same age and she didn't want her to feel threatened by all cops."

🚨 MAN WHO WENT VIRAL FOR CARRYING AR-STYLE RIFLE IN KENSINGTON NOW FACING FELONY CHARGES
A man who went viral on social media after being filmed walking through Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood carrying an AR-style rifle has now been criminally charged, according to District Attorney Larry Krasner.
During a Tuesday press conference, prosecutors identified the suspect as Kobe Artis.
Authorities allege Artis was seen in a social media video handing over both an AR-style rifle and a handgun to another individual who is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
The video, which circulated widely online, was reportedly forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office by Philadelphia City Councilmember Quetcy Lozada, whose district includes parts of Kensington.
“The heinous actions of Defendant Kobe Artis are disgraces to our Philadelphia community,” Krasner said during the announcement. “Walking around like a one-man army is absolutely intimidating, frightening, disturbing and troubling to witness.”
Lozada also commented on the arrest, stating:
“This individual thought it was ok to walk around, misinform, and illegally connect individuals with firearms.”
According to prosecutors, Artis is facing:
⚠️ Two felony counts of illegal transfer of firearms
⚠️ Multiple additional firearm-related offenses
Officials confirmed Artis is currently in custody, and prosecutors are seeking $2.5 million bail.
No additional updates on his court status were immediately available Tuesday evening
