Codex is getting extremely good and will rapidly improve. If you want to help make it 100x better next year, the team is hiring. Crazy adventure guaranteed; success probable.

@typesfast Fahrenheit is objectively better than Celsius because zero F is f'ing cold and 100 F is F'ing hot and a zero to 100 scale works! Also, ºC are too large. To adjust a thermostat to be comfortable you need to go to fractions of a ºC but single digits of ºF are fine.

Fahrenheit is objectively better than Celsius. This can be easily demonstrated by taking a group of people mixed between Americans and Europeans and asking them to estimate the ambient temperate. Fahrenheit users are always more accurate in this exercise. Try it!

@MoonDevOnYT 64 gigs of ram doesn't come close to runnung a decent coding model. The 200 bucks is likely better spent on claude code if you want to maximize for code quality output. Were it the 512 gig mac studio which can fully load deepseek then it could've been worthwhile

Before you pay $200/month for another month of Claude code... What about just allocating that $200/month to Apple with a 0% APR? Running a local model in a local agentic coding thing like CC Ironic that the most souped-up m4 Mac Mini comes out to almost exactly $200/month, which is the same price as the Unlimited (Limited) Claude Code. The only questions pending are, what model would you run, and what Agentic coding thing comes close to Claude Code?

he rigs up 10 RTX 4090s, runs protein folding simulations, loads local LLMs for privacy, talks about quantization, multi-GPU sharding, RAG, how SLMs are underrated, AND says he’s fine-tuning his own model. bro knows AI more than most of the AI influencers here.

@airkatakana True, it’s a paradox. Vast input, but no emergence of original insight. Compression isn't creativity, and current models still remix rather than originate.Ask ChatGPT

chatgpt, claude, gemini, grok, etc have all read, comprehended, and nearly memorized every book in the world, and yet with current architectures and training techniques none of them have any truly novel knowledge to give us. really makes you think

Apple’s M3 Ultra is here and it’s absurd: • 32-core CPU, 80-core GPU • Up to 512GB RAM, 16TB storage • Runs 600B-parameter AI models in memory • Thunderbolt 5 (120Gb/s!)

@BigSatoDontArt @IdahoBones While it too led me to living off of code, the horrors I witnessed during the internet's early, unfiltered days left me forever desensitized to most things
