From the SI documentary…..I get frustrated at times during the season, but then I see videos like this and know that this guy at least understands and embraces the expectations here. That’s half the battle!

I had an OC tell me this today about evaluating QBs in the draft “When I’m trying to find THE guy… I ask two questions — was he born to be a QB, or was he made to be one?” Nothing has resonated more…Everyone’s chasing the guy who was born to do it. There’s 2 in this class…

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: New Vanderbilt 5-foot-8 WR Kayleb Barnett has gone viral with fans "SHOCKED" at how small he is compared to his teammates. Many people are confusing him with Diego Pavia. 😳😳😳

Millions of former athletes would like to coach. Right now they have to cold call or happen to be talking to the right person at the right time. Too much luck needed! If you've thought about coaching, search open jobs and post your profile on the house at CoachBridge.org

The "Middle 8" is one of 11 eight minute blocks in a football game. So what happens when we look at 6,674 FBS games over the last decade and see how impactful the middle 8 is vs the other 10 blocks? Might want to read the summary & request the data: matrixanalytical.com/post/the-middl…

💯 Had a great conversation with an NFL offensive coordinator I highly respect about this very thing. He said, “New ideas are suggested all the time, but to put them in, we need to give our players ALL the answers for ALL situations that might come up. If we don’t know that, then we can’t put it in. It’s not fair to the players, and we’ll get our ass beat.” Too many coaches at all levels install plays because they look cool or they see them work for someone else, but they only understand the surface level. When it breaks down, the players on the field are the ones who get blamed!
Talk N Shoot@ChalkLast0712

The best play callers say no to new ideas much more often than they say yes. The skill comes with getting everyone on board despite getting their ideas turned down. Coaches can get their feelings hurt when their ideas aren’t used and this can be a problem.

There’s a long-standing narrative that football players lose size and strength if they wrestle. @yjmcknight data says otherwise. Football players who wrestled this winter returned to spring football and tested extremely well. Take advantage of this. Learn from the best.
