💯 Had a great conversation with an NFL offensive coordinator I highly respect about this very thing. He said, “New ideas are suggested all the time, but to put them in, we need to give our players ALL the answers for ALL situations that might come up. If we don’t know that, then we can’t put it in. It’s not fair to the players, and we’ll get our ass beat.” Too many coaches at all levels install plays because they look cool or they see them work for someone else, but they only understand the surface level. When it breaks down, the players on the field are the ones who get blamed!

There’s a long-standing narrative that football players lose size and strength if they wrestle. @yjmcknight data says otherwise. Football players who wrestled this winter returned to spring football and tested extremely well. Take advantage of this. Learn from the best.
