If DA is smart, this is their opportunity to bamboozle us and become the majority party in SA. All they have to do is clean up Home Affairs and make sure it runs like a well oiled machine + adequately secure our borders. This alone, will do wonders for them in 2029.

Today I pleaded guilty to charges of pointing a firearm and contravening S.A's immigration laws. My lawyers told the court we're willing to pay fine and are asking for suspended sentences for both, I also indicated my willingness to cover costs of my own deportation to Zimbabwe.

Today, I apologize to President ED and all law-abiding Zimbabweans for tarnishing my father’s name and the country’s reputation. I was fined R600,000, which President ED has already paid on my behalf, he warned me not to repeat such behavior. I will return back to Zimbabwe today.

Wrong… It was taken from KiSwahili. Kaya 959 is actually what Radio Freedom used to be when the comrades were still in exile, Broadcasting from Lusaka “Lustown” Zambia. In 1997, after the ANC took over, we were awarded a commercial radio licence.
Collen Sambo@collen_sambo2

Why are we prouncing Kaya FM wrongly. Kaya is a Xitsonga word which means home. Khaya is a Zulu word meaning the same. But the station chose to write a Tsonga word yet they pronounce it wrongly cc @KayaON959

Brazilian National Accused of R8.7m Cocaine Smuggling Appears in Court A 26-year-old Brazilian national arrested for allegedly smuggling cocaine worth an estimated R8.7 million into South Africa appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday, facing drug trafficking charges. The suspect, who arrived at OR Tambo International Airport on a flight from Brazil, was apprehended by police on Sunday afternoon after officers discovered multiple blocks of cocaine concealed in the individual’s luggage during a targeted, intelligence-driven search. According to details from the arrest, the drugs had a potential street value of around R8.7 million. The suspect, reported as a transgender woman, was taken into custody and formally charged. The case has been postponed to 30 April 2026 to allow for further consultation, additional investigation, and a bail application. The matter remains ongoing as authorities continue probing possible links to broader international drug trafficking networks. The suspect remains in custody pending the next court appearance.
