You really could be watching much worse things than Amemiya using some of his most creative imagery to do Saturday morning G-rated Evangelion.

Keita Amemiya’s Tekkōki Mikazuki (2000) is a tapestry of scraps, riffs, parodies, and bold re-envisionings of just about every Tokusatsu property under the sun. The Ultras, Kamen Riders, Super Sentai, kaiju, mecha. It’s all here, overstimulating as hell, and it’s a fucking ride.
