Give me one good reason why you think that it is okay to have charcoal as the main source of cooking energy in your household, yet you have never planted a single tree in your entire life. The subsidized 6KG LPG cans are now available under the Electricity Access Scaleup Project.
Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company@UECCC1

Kamusala Alphat Namungarwe from Iganga District is a household beneficiary who transitioned from charcoal to clean cooking through the RBF programme. Previously relying heavily on charcoal, he now uses @WesGasUganda, which he acquired at a 40% subsidized cost. Cooking has become faster, cleaner and more convenient, allowing him to cook indoors without smoke while significantly reducing his charcoal consumption and costs. He first learned about the solution through a market activation and was able to get started with just a National ID and a small initial payment. Under the programme, LPG cans are subsidized by 40%, making clean cooking solutions more affordable for households. You can access these solutions through approved Energy Service Companies participating in the project 👉 ueccc.or.ug/wp-content/upl… He appreciates UECCC’s support in making clean cooking solutions more accessible and affordable.

@OfwonoOpondo I think you are the one that is being ignorant.. What makes you think Uganda has to wait for Kenya to complete before it starts construction on its side?

Goodman Eric, Director of Burondwa Mixed Farm in Isingiro, struggled with water access, spending up to UGX 2 million monthly to sustain his farm operations. Through the RBF programme, he acquired a solar-powered irrigation pump at a 60% subsidy, making it more affordable to invest in sustainable farming solutions. This has enabled year-round farming, improved productivity across his livestock, poultry and crops and significantly reduced operational costs. He appreciates Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company’s support in helping farmers overcome water scarcity and sustain their livelihoods. Interested in accessing a solar-powered irrigation pump? “Before acquiring the Electric Pressure Cooker, life was quite difficult… I used to spend a lot of money.” For Namugaya Harriet in Jinja City, cooking was once costly, time-consuming and inefficient. Today, that story has changed. Through the Results-Based Financing (RBF) programme she accessed an Electric Pressure Cooker (EPC) at a 60% o subsidized cost. “There has been a tremendous change in my household… cooking is now much faster and more cost-effective.” The EPC is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly, reducing harmful indoor emissions and improving everyday living conditions. Harriet expresses her gratitude to UECCC and its partners for making clean cooking solutions more accessible and affordable to households like hers. More Ugandans are making the switch to clean, efficient energy through the RBF programme.

Achero Florence, an enrolled midwife at the Karin Health Centre III in Kitgum, recalls the challenges the health centre previously faced in accessing hot water for patient care. Through the RBF programme, a solar water heating system was installed at the facility. The programme’s approach supports energy service companies to deliver clean energy technologies to institutions such as health centres. The system now provides reliable hot water for maternal care and other medical services, improving hygiene standards and patient comfort. Florence appreciates the role played by UECCC in supporting the installation, noting that the intervention has strengthened healthcare service delivery for the community. @rbaguma608 @LilianRAkullo @jbmenya

Joyce Ocen Labong, Director of Ajora Mixed Farm in Gulu City, has spent years building a farm that supports both agricultural production and learning for students interested in farming. However, like many farmers, she previously relied heavily on rainfall to sustain her crops. Through the RBF programme implemented by @UECCC1, Joyce accessed an irrigation system 60% discounted that enables her to water crops throughout the year. The programme works by providing performance-based subsidies to energy service companies, reducing the retail cost of clean energy technologies for end users. With reliable irrigation, Joyce is now able to maintain production even during dry seasons, strengthening both her farm operations and the opportunities she provides for agricultural learning. She appreciates the role played by UECCC in expanding access to productive use of energy technologies that support farmers and improve agricultural resilience.

For Fuga Francis in Soroti City, reliance on charcoal and firewood previously meant longer cooking times and a kitchen environment filled with smoke. By adopting a biofuel eco-stove supported through the RBF’s price subsidy mechanism, Francis now enjoys a more efficient and healthier cooking experience. Meals are prepared faster and the kitchen environment is much cleaner. Francis appreciates the support provided through the programme and thanks UECCC for promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions for households.

@DuncanAbigaba Totally in agreement with you..It's become kinda fashionable lately, everyone wants a free handout instead of seeking for opportunities where they can be productive and sustain their lives.. Musicians, Comedians, Tiktokers, bloggers, vloggers, mechanics...

Normalized and televised begging by the country's "elite", with the proceeds of begging going into consumption (cars, clothes, etc.), NOT production (agriculture, cottage industries, etc.), is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.
Saasi Marvin@sasmvn

In a few years, we're going to pay a heavy price for the society we have curated: a society of shameless, entitled beggars who have abandoned the dignity of honest work and convinced themselves that whoever appears to have more than them owes them a share of it.

The church is the people, not the clergy. Someone in the congregation had a Bible. They should have read the day's reading, and another person preaches. That is it. We pray in our homes, do we have clergy around? The NRA held service/mass/salah in the bush. Did they have clergy?
