Good Morning #TheHobby friends. It’s been awhile (2 months) since I’ve posted about trading #Vintage for #Vintage ⚾️ cards. I’m thinking of starting back up this evening. If we’ve traded before, let’s try again. If I pulled any dupes that u asked for, yes, I still have them!

@CardsCtb This is great info, thank you! I’m bookmarking this for future reference. I was in no way implying your cards were untrustworthy but rather wanted to see what the community knows to help detect authentic vs fakes. Scammers have tried to add the DS embossing to regular 1991s.

I obtained these from a reputable dealer and I've painstakingly examined every card as well. Used a black light and all the back borders glow. Through some research I've found cards were printed on six sheets lettered A through F. The cards on the A and B sheets (excluding managers who had cards designed without this logo) were printed with a bold logo at first, until the decision was made mid-production to make the logo much lighter. The remaining 4 sheets, C through F, had all of the cards with the more common fainter logo. About 5% percent of the existing 1991 Topps player cards from the A and B sheets have this bold logo and Topps used only these bold logo cards for these players in the Desert Shield set. Also, the checklist for the set did NOT have the Desert Shield logo printed on the front and none of the error cards were corrected with the DS logo (like the Mattingly with 10 hits).

Edwin Diaz's first bullpen walk-in for the Dodgers, with a live trumpet performance, was amazing. Closer entrance music is such a unique, fun, baseball-specific thing. I love it.
