I need to work on serving better facial expressions and stances in photos during presentations but I had a ball presenting today and collaborating with the education community at @stansw #stage6conference. So much was learned reflectively but also from others!

Performance is not dropping in stage 6 science courses - in fact the % of band 6 results against unwavering performance descriptors show increased performance of students over time @stansw #stage6conference #stanswteachingcommunity

@jborg_13 That was hard to like @jborg_13 - I think it was the rotten flesh bit…but I like that they were excited.

The excitement at school when students found an anemone stinkhorn (Aseroe rubra) in the canteen garden beds. It’s a spore producing fungus that resembles a sea anemone atop with a gleba (slime) that smells of carrion (rotting flesh) or faeces and attracts flies. #fungi #scied

@TannyRiach Spores and they appear to be more common that I first suspected. We have not found any others on campus so we are unsure of where the spores originated.
