Weld 3.1.7.Final is now available. Weld core is now an MR JAR that, for JDK 11+, leverages MethodHandles.Lookup to avoid those pesky illegal reflective access warning you've been seeing. For more info look at weld.cdi-spec.org/news/2021/03/1…

Question @jbossweld, will the 4.x series counterpart of the latest 3.x series be released as well? Really missing 4.0.1 with the JDK 11 fixes ;) #Java #Jakarta #CDI

Weld 3.1.6.Final (CDI 2.0) is now available from Maven Central. It is mostly a whack-a-bug release which you can read more about here - weld.cdi-spec.org/news/2021/01/1… FTR, there will also be a new version of weld-junit later today.

Another step towards EE 9 - Weld 4.0.0.Beta1 is out along with Weld API 4.0.Beta1. This time around, all bits should be working and available in Central. See blog for more information - weld.cdi-spec.org/news/2020/09/1…

@struberg @struberg it's hard to say what's going on there without a reproducer. Similar tests we have are passing. Would you care to cobble together a reproducer and pass it along in JIRA issue? We'd then take a look at it.

@langer_tomas That's really nice! I checked on Helidon code and saw that in quite a few places you need to do bytecode replacement of original Weld code. Have you considered contributing those changes back to Weld?
