I am thrilled to see the work of the @221men & our team of @Chemonics & partners in Senegal highlighted in this article on highly effective, large scale programs that get kids reading. We are so proud of the results. @USAIDSenegal @MamadouAmadouL2 @GPforEducation @WBG_Education

@DaveEvansPhD @Yuan_Fei_ Dave, one objection to .1 or .2 talk, right, is that it's often not accompanied by meaning-making & importance compared to benchmarks, e.g., most/all kids actually reading & what's the continued trajectory to get there. What's some of the best work you've seen on that, if any?

At the end of last year, I was diagnosed with cancer (specifically, diffuse large b-cell lymphoma). Boo! I then underwent four months of chemotherapy. The cancer is now in remission. I’m fine! Yay! Here’s a little thread 🧵 about my experience, in case it is of use to others.

@patbahn You bet! DC has strong end markets for rigid plastic containers made of #1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 plastics - largely with end markets in North America. All of those plastics in DC’s system earn revenue on the commodity market, same with paper and metal. Glass has a negative value…
