And here I was thinking that #SPUT was loading up pounds at $100 because they thought it was a good price to buy. I was wrong 💯 Their strategy - Just buy pounds, price doesn’t matter. Not very savvy with shareholders invested money. #Uranium

@AlLouigi @omro1975 Yeah that’s it 👍 1.4m pounds on Thursday alone… why so much is the big question. Instead of just chipping away like they normally do. They had a heap of money on hand, but there’s some reason for being so aggressive… interesting times!

I totally agree they were never this aggressive before. If they're just as aggressive in February as they are in January this will be very telling. Then 2026 will be the year that will be astronomical. 9 million lbs in one year = 750k lbs per month. January accumulation is more than two months.

#SPUT wants to buy pounds cheap too. More bang for buck! So them buying 2 million pounds in 2 days at $100 is saying something.. There’s more buyers in the market and that $100 is a good price to buy 2 million pounds. Pullbacks aside, the price is going higher #Uranium

@omro1975 Yeah sounds fair. Can’t say I’ve actually read the terms 😜 2m in 2 days are big numbers at a high price. But they did have $360m to spend. Can’t keep it in their pocket for too long I suppose 👍

@jbwee22 Yeah, what makes sense isn’t the case here, so it is what it is. I’m pretty sure the terms of the trust are they just buy at the prevailing rates.

@omro1975 Yeah they make all their money from the fees 👍 But the more pounds they have, the more the trust is worth, the more fees they charge. So buying pounds cheaper would make sense for them if they can IMO

@jbwee22 #SPUT doesn’t care what price it pays for #uranium as far as I recall from when this fund was set up, unless this has changed, it’s purely algorithmic. They don’t negotiate for this. They make their money holding material and an annual fee.
