You are right, but I did work my way through college and graduated into a recession with engineers (my degree) on welfare.
What has harmed your generation is the debt. Thank you Federal government, for funding our youths education ohhhh but the universities just took the money and raised the cost and you the students paid that cost and got an crapy education with debt that would not support you. Money is never free.

Older generations say “we all struggled.” Yes. But not like this. You didn’t graduate into debt + no job security. You didn’t compete with global labor + AI. You didn’t pay modern rent on entry-level pay. This isn’t the same struggle. It’s a different game entirely.
