Ironically, atmospheres in the English game have died as direct result of the “advertising” that promoted English atmospheres. “Come here and experience the best atmospheres in football” and clubs basically enabled it by building hospitality in the stands and giving thousands of tickets away to supporters clubs essentially replacing those who were creating the atmosphere that they were advertising to the global audience

@Carl_M79 @shornKOOMINS I may be wrong, but I understand a reckoning to be punitive. The only people who have had to deal with the consequences of Savile's actions are his victims, unfortunately.
It didn't affect my enjoyment (maybe the wrong word) of the series, though.

@Carl_M79 I thought it was grim as fuck and disturbing but brilliant, and Coogan outstanding. Some hated it for the reason you say, and also cos for those whose whole personalities are about being performatively vocal about nonces, and Savile, hate Coogan for being a "champagne socialist".
