@farkasjohan Absolutely, and it's a positive feedback loop. Moving was good professionally (so far), but uneven privately (COVID didn't help and things are looking up). Now the anxiety is being "trapped" abroad, reinforcing the "move or perish" loop.

In NL, only 2-3% of university staff are unionised. This week, the unions and Dutch universities re-negotiate our collective labour agreement. With more members, we have more decision power on salaries, pensions, casualisation, overwork. Join a union! Word lid van de vakbond!

I don't update on here nearly enough, but today I'm really delighted to say that I've received a Veni grant from @NWO_SSH to fund my project 'The Prediction Machine' on the history of futurology and neoliberalism in British government. Thanks to all who gave support and advice!
