I try not to be hyperbolic, despite what some will claim, but I think AI is going to be the biggest societal disaster of my lifetime. And of many lifetimes. It basically will replace so many jobs, driving endless amounts into worse and worse poverty, all so a handful of mega billionaires get to slice costs and ramp up profits, as they provide a controlled narrative and message around pushed ideology and suitable "facts", with thought bent to their will as people get more and more lazy.

Had a few questions (on Insta, not here) about the size of the Portuguese allocation. Does seem substantial and backs up @MolloyJoe point around how much of a presence it is in the stadium compared to typical away qualifiers in Europe (even if logistically it makes sense)

Remarkable to be onsite yesterday in Bekan as officials surveyed the massive damage caused by Storm Éowyn to the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome. Frightening that the power of the storm was able to fling pieces of the structure across the car park, through the fence, and into the other astro.
