During the Dodgers postseason run, Clayton Kershaw opened his home to Jack Dreyer and Emmet Sheehan so they wouldn’t have to stay in a hotel, while his wife Ellen and their four children returned to Texas for the beginning of the school year. During this time, the three built a real connection off the field. "Over a handful of nights out by the beach and evenings spent by the fire pit, Kershaw connected with teammates a decade his junior. They talked about life as much as they did baseball." Dreyer said it felt "surreal" having these moments and living with Kershaw. Sheehan admired the way Kershaw treated them saying: "He treated you like a teammate and like a peer and not like a little kid, which he could have.” That’s what a championship environment looks like.

end of an era tomorrow. Or an error. No matter how you slice it I’m hoping I can unload these 60 boxes of quarter cards that I’ve accumulated over the last six or seven years. All stuff I once thought I would be able to run quarter card sales with, but I’m realizing I will probably die before I get through it. Obviously, you know I never collected scrubs, so this is loaded with rookies parallels Hall of Famer. Looking to get hopefully 30 bucks a box for the whole shebang What say you? What should I be looking for?

@PootPoot Ran the LA Charity Half Marathon raised money for his foundation 4 years in a row. His wife asked if I’d like ‘2020 WS Champ’ or some other inscription when I mailed the jersey to them, and I said he can sign however he wants. He chose that inscription.

@jcouvy All that’s being talked about are those calls but I think Will Smith has “beef” too. I think him not arguing gets that call.

I feel like I’m the only one that thinks that ball was a strike. This was old school baseball and the zone was set by the ump and not the ABS. Guys were rung up all night on “bad pitches”. This generation is just conditioned to the “zone.” I loved this call

If Nell and John Wooden Court is good enough for UCLA, and it’s glorious, naming the field for Tommy Lasorda works for Dodger Stadium. Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, Vin Scully work beautifully too.
