insane how the only notable change since Sandy Hook is that kids are now formally trained to hide, barricade doors, fight, or run for their lives. that was the solution. to literally put the responsibility on them to figure it out and wish them luck.

New York is giving the Buffalo Bills $850 million in taxpayer funds for a new stadium, the biggest pro sports subsidy of all time. Three days ago, NY announced a $800 million cut to children and family services. The Bills owner is worth $5.8 billion. gothamist.com/news/ny-taxpay…

Lots of teachers are leaving education. Why? 1) Many policies and practices make teaching unsustainable - and no amount of “self-care” will fix it 2) Lack of respect (and pay) for the hours worked & schooling required 3) Lack of resources to do what is needed. What else?
