What is really interesting for today's update is a vessel loaded in the United Kingdom en route to Australia.

@WheatWatcher Its got to be a lot harder to stockpile fuel than toilet paper. Makes you wonder how long that scale of lift in sales can be sustained.

I really stuffed up this morning, 530 cows went across this bridge but we couldn't get them back that way so it was a long walk home! 3 years since the last proper flood, lots of trees have fallen into the creek and are now blocking the flow of water under the bridges.

Analysts with DHL noted increased costs for U.S. trade competitors, too, including transpacific trade routes and lanes from Asia to Europe. Per Xeneta, rates from China to South America pushed above $9,100, while costs to move goods from China to North Europe are nearing $8,500. Global dairy trade is feeling the impact. Prior to the pandemic, the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) reported more than 2 million tons of foodstuffs moved through the channel each year. While SCA has yet to release current data, Egypt’s Al-Mal News reported a nearly 69% year-over-year drop in cargo volume along the canal in June. Given the uncertainty along global shipping lanes – and the upcoming holiday season – U.S. importers are placing larger, earlier orders. In a July report, the National Retail Federation stated the U.S. is experiencing its largest import volumes in two years, and inbound shipments are expected to rise 7% between July and November. idfa.org/news/the-dairy…
