The problem with the “run it back + Fleming” view is that the OKC series showed us just how far away the Suns are from truly competing. This isn’t a “add around the margins” and “tweak the roster” type of thing. That approach just sees this roster die out on the vine. What’s needed as an All-Star level PG or big man to accelerate the process. Without a high draft pick in sight, that move will have to come via trade. You only get that by giving up something of value AND clearing the necessary cap space. This Allen + O’Neale fantasy trade doesn’t get it done. It’s Booker, Green or Brooks that’s got to land you that player. And Booker isn’t going anywhere.

@lil_trevino24 I have a real soft spot for green. But you obviously haven’t watched anything of his Houston days. Speak to a Houston fan about him and you will realise.

The Houston Rockets gave up on Jalen Green after 1 playoff series and traded him for a 37 year old and i was told by everybody that it was the right decision. I just can’t ever respect that and try to reason with y’all because there is no universe where i’m giving up on my #2 overall draft pick after he led our team in scoring and led us to the 2 seed as a 23 year old. I am so glad that this happened and i have a bad feeling this trade is going to get worse and worse with every single year.

@DuaneRankin I think rasheer with his defensive tools is too good not to be playing more than 15mins. I would like to see him on the floor in some of those crunch time situations too.
