@Timmysofine Lool. I need to learn how to bait like this.
Whats the skillset?
English

@delightfjohnson Couldn’t have said it better. Better to learn it sooner rather than later.
And virality doesn’t equal profits. I’ve never posted anything that got 2M eyeballs but I make enough to get by.

Permit to be brutal and honest.
Change your Twitter bio and make it exclusively about your business. No one cares about your motivational quote.
Second, always add a call to action (e.g. ‘place your order’) Anyone who sees your post won’t know you’re selling and would think you just cooked it for fun.
Finally, asides from a call to action, make it super clear how to place an order (insert a link, slide into your DMs, etc.)… people like being told what to do.

I can’t believe I didn’t get a single order from this post . Never confuse virality for sales.

"linkedin is cringe and nobody uses it"
meanwhile i'm closing $5k-$15k deals from executives scrolling during their lunch break
you're avoiding the platform where people with actual budgets spend their time
any B2B company can scale to $100k+/mo using only linkedin content + outbound
created the complete playbook showing how
follow, rt & comment "monopoly" and i'll send it over

@Finaltoucch @Emgreene001 Yeah and also you still practised your craft. It could turn into a portfolio piece, which may get you more clients down the line.
Money is not the only reward for work.
English

@Emgreene001 Bro, life itself is a risk. I will rather design and not get hired than not design and lose a big client

The #1 mistake founders make with MVPs?
Trying to perfect it before launch.
I once spent 6 months building an app… only for it to flop on day one. Nobody cared enough to actually use it.
Now I ship fast and messy.
I want feedback in days and weeks, not months.
Has this happened to you?
English

@Finaltoucch If you want to make money, market.
If you want to KEEP making money, then skill.

@ui_kingsley You must have been new on the platform.
Once you submit the work, after 14 days the funds are released to you. After that you could have ended the contract. Or disputed the refund also.

I had this client on Upwork. He reached out sometime around April. We agreed to work together for $600.
And he paid, full payment. But it was in escrow. Waiting to complete project, then he’ll approve all of it to be released to me.
It was going smoothly. Until he ghosted for about 2 months. I had even completely forgotten about the money in Escrow.
This Month, he recalled the payment.
And I just wasted my time. 💔😭
But the thing is, in as much as there are horrible clients as this, there are also great clients as well.
But eitherway, God forbid Upwork.

God forbid Upwork!!!…A very depressing platform.
