@GlobalEdmonton Very similar to when she lead the WP in opposition. The party passed resolutions that she knew she couldn't support with caucus. So she crossed the floor. What is she going to do this time?

Volunteers are distributing them across the province.
Please, stay tuned for locations.

@cspotweet @ShayeGanam What does provincial sovereignty even mean?
English

"I'm letting you know, I speak for the party, and what our party has said is that we support autonomy and sovreignty for Alberta in a united Canada."
Chatting with @ShayeGanam, Premier Danielle Smith pushes back against UCP president Rob Smith's claim that the party will not have an opinion on sovereignty due to many members being in favour of it.
Smith says she speaks for the party, and the party thus supports staying in Canada.

Alberta is stronger when united with Canada, playing a vital role in leading and shaping the country's future. It is essential to stand up and say no to separation.

@Shelley72340670 @kathleen_petty @markusoff Clearly you have not read The Act. laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-31.… If there is 50% +1 the federal govt must NEGOTIATE with the province. A constitutional amendment is still required. Please just read the preamble in the link.
English

@jd_hanley @kathleen_petty @markusoff Wrong.
Only "Constitutional REFORM" demands 7 provinces and majority vote.
Separation requires 50% + 1 of the provincial voters.
Read the Clarity Act dude
It was written FOR Quebec after their TWO Separation referendums.
ANY province can separate through majority will.

@Shelley72340670 @kathleen_petty @markusoff the Que referendums were legal. But if succeeded they would have needed a Constitutional amendment to separate requiring agreement of majority of provinces. Read Supreme Court of Canada’s 1998 Reference re Secession of Quebec. No prov can unilaterally leave. Not Que. Not AB.
English

@jd_hanley @kathleen_petty @markusoff 🤣 🤣
Pls go inform Quebec that their two referendums to separate was " illegal "
😆
English

@sarobertson_ It's so not surprising nor the least bit controversial. The two are on different sides of centre and it's no longer working. No ill will either way.
English

@wally_walker these two will go out in a blaze of glory. Probably with a GC ring. Just ask the likes of Smiling Hank and Ricky Ray.

Bo is the top 2 QBs and Kenny is top WR in the #CFL. ppl making questioning their ages and contracts are jealous that they’re not on their team. the way the cap has been going the last few years, Kenny’s $ should fall right in line.

The @Ticats have signed WR Kenny Lawler to a new 3-year $1 million contract … making it the biggest receiver deal in CFL history, aside from the 1991 Rocket Ismail @argos contract for personal services. The 31-year-old Lawler led the @CFL with 16.8 yards per catch last season and was second in total yardage with 1,443. #CFL
