@ziggakai Appreciate your insight and thoughts! I think sometimes we forget that these young men, when away from family, have mentors like Coach Franklin who instill values and ethos. It’s probably comforting to know your son was in good hands. He plays hard for his coaches/family!

As a Maryland alum, we are conditioned to hate PSU. When they offered my son, I immediately said no way. But, I watched the way Coach Franklin poured into him. I noticed how strategic he was, even remembering my mom’s birthday. I also remembered him telling me that he (1of4)

Unlike many ADs who watch games with other administrators from a suite or press box, Pat Kraft typically has been on the sidelines -- often in close proximity to James Franklin. I think it's fair to wonder how much of what he saw and heard down there factored into this decision.
