Additional ground surveys and analysis of aerial imagery have revealed the starting point of the May 6th South Mississippi long track EF3 tornado was further west than originally believed, in far southwestern Adams County. The revised tornado track is over 81 miles long.

- Damage Survey Update - The two EF3 tornadoes that impacted southern Mississippi on May 6 have now been confirmed to be a single long-track EF3 tornado, according to the National Weather Service office in Jackson, Mississippi. The tornado remained on the ground for approximately 70 miles.

A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for metro Baton Rouge. Training storms may lead to several inches of rain through the afternoon. Don’t drive through flooded roadways!

Unfortunately, a significant tornado touched down this evening along the Wilkinson and Adams county line and has continued to cause damage even as it crossed I-55 south of Brookhaven. This has likely been an EF3+ tornado at times.
