@patmaddox@RobotDeathSquad Don't think so, no. Just needs a dedicated ethernet line to connect it to the switch. Although for max speed I would recommend a dedicated router/gateway and separate AP(s). Under powered consumer WiFi+routers can easily be a bottleneck
@patmaddox@RobotDeathSquad Sounds like that would be convenient, yeah. I had a closet that was dedicated to a water heater tank which I wanted to replace with tankless anyway. So I did that and refinished that closet and added a media enclosure to terminate the ethernet (+fiber and cable)
@RobotDeathSquad@patmaddox I DIY'd mine in the crawl space + attic. Was easier than I expected and only spent about $400 on it (excluding the new switch I needed after...)
@seldo Chase f’ed up my property tax payment a few years ago - I called to complain that I didn’t like it and they immediately closed the account and sent me a check. Highly recommended.
When you take out a mortgage, your bank may not trust you to be responsible enough to pay your own property taxes and insurance. They therefore make you pay extra money into an "escrow account", where they keep it so they can send the wrong amount to the wrong company every year.
@sallykuchar This one in my neighborhood in Pasadena just went for $437k over asking. I bought a place here last fall and it was nothing like this. redfin.com/CA/Altadena/18…
I guess I'm a sadist so let's talk about California residential real estate.
Did you know it's bonkers? Like just completely bananas. Let's look at some examples.
