Most founders think they “own” their business. Until they realize: - The domain isn’t in their name - The cloud account belongs to a developer - Critical access lives in someone else’s email By the time this shows up, it’s already a problem. I’ve seen this play out too many times over the years. Not because people are careless— but because no one teaches this early on. So we put together something practical: A simple framework to help founders stay in control of their infrastructure from day one. No theory. No fluff. Just what actually matters. If you’re building (or planning to), this is worth understanding early: amazon.com/dp/B0GX2ZWD3X — “Keep it yours.”

This is one of those things that doesn’t feel urgent—until it is. Curious how many people have actually checked this in their setup.

@elonmusk @Tesla 1. Self-driving is amazing... until it isn't. 2. A tiny proximity sensor at the top would be a-mazing. 3. Where do I send the Safelite repair bill to? Wishful thinking is free, right?

You don’t need a full-time CTO. You need someone who can show up, solve the mess, and leave you with clarity. That’s me.

Founders: What’s the tech decision you’re stuck on right now? (No judgment — I’ve heard it all.)

A founder messaged me: “I feel dumb. I don’t even know what to ask.” That’s not dumb. That’s just building without a CTO. And that’s why The Hidden Partner exists.

“We’ve always done it this way.” Those 6 words have killed more growth than bad code ever did.

Every founder hits this point: You have 10 tools, 6 tabs open, and still feel stuck. You don’t need more software. You need a strategy.

Building a startup is hard. But if your tools feel harder than the actual business… You’ve got the wrong setup.

Founder decision paralysis is real: "I don't know if I should build this feature" "I don't know if I should hire this developer" "I don't know if I should use this tool" The answer is usually simpler than you think. You just need someone to translate the tech chaos into clarity.

The best sessions aren't about me teaching. They're about founders realizing they already know what to do—they just needed someone to translate the tech noise into a clear path. That's the real value.

Last week a founder came to me with: - 5 different project management tools - 3 different analytics platforms - 2 CRMs they weren't using In 90 minutes, we cut it to: - 1 tool that actually solved their problem - A clear roadmap for the next 3 months Sometimes you need someone who speaks tech to translate it back to you.

I've seen the same pattern 100+ times: Founder: "We need [complex tool]" Reality: A simple spreadsheet would solve it The best tech decision is the one you don't need to make. Complexity isn't a feature. It's a warning sign.

Quick tech decision framework: 1. What problem are you solving? 2. What's the simplest solution? 3. Can you test it in 1 week? 4. If not, you're overthinking it. Stop researching. Start testing.

Non-technical founders spend 40+ hours researching tools they'll never use. Why? Because they don't know what they don't know. The solution isn't more research. It's clarity on what you actually need. That's what a 90-minute strategy session delivers.

Outreach is dead? It's hard to do clients? What if I told you i've been scraping 100+ ICP leads everyday, reaching out with a 6 month old Loom video, and closing 10-15 DFY clients every month. If you want to know exactly how i do this, comment "ICP" for a breakdown

I never run out of content to post anymore. Built an automation that monitors 50+ news sources, scores articles for relevance, and writes social posts automatically. It finds trending topics in my niche before they explode everywhere else. Saves me 15-20 hours monthly and keeps me ahead of every trend. Comment "NEWS" and I'll DM it to you (must be following)

@maccaw That’s exactly the mindset change I’m training my team for. It’s not easy, but once you do it, you can go home at normal hrs…

As a senior software engineer, I can tell you that we’ve crossed a threshold in the last six months with Gemini 2.5, GPT-5, and more recently, Sonnet 4.5. I don’t really code anymore. I prompt and supervise. I’m still needed, because the AI can drift into strange tangents. But with the right scaffolding and rules in place, Sonnet 4.5 has become an excellent coder. Work that used to take me weeks or months now gets done in hours.
