I am sorry to hear of Oscar White Muscarella's death on November 27 at the age of 91. His The Lie Became Great: The Forgery of Ancient Near Eastern Cultures (2000), was quite inspirational. I will never look at Luristan Bronzes without questioning their authenticity.
