@jeffs_comics I like to think that Yag-Kosha, the anthropomorphic pachyderm in The Tower of the Elephant, was in fact of the same ancient race as Babar.

Both Babar and Conan first appear in the early 1930s, and it is an oddity how their stories rhyme. Each leaves a 'barbarian' world to explore "civilization", has many adventures, and eventually rise to become Kings. (Babar the Barbarian by Luke McGarry)
