@jeb_mr @The_GA In hindsight, I probably made some poor decisions. I've enjoyed all my jobs, but temporary/maternity contracts really suck when they end because it's just so hard to leave when you're feeling settled and happy in your work. I shouldn't have taken the maternity roles.

@jeb_mr @The_GA I was! Long-term supply in a lovely primary - I'd happily teach there again. As it happened, I ended up teaching some of the kids again in secondary - just finished two back-to-back maternity contracts. The job search saga has been a long and frustrating one.

@The_GA Finished a maternity contract in February. Starting supply work after the Easter holidays. I can teach geography and biology to A-level. Particular skills in fieldwork and cross-curricular learning. Passionate about co-curricular - music, outdoor ed, creative writing, etc.

I’ve been quiet. Here’s the truth. Last year broke me in ways I didn’t know were possible. A radical hysterectomy that floored me. My son diagnosed with rare, aggressive testicular cancer. Finding my adopted father dead after a catastrophic medical episode-weeks after he passed.
