@jedhallam Once saw dj krust do a talk & he went on about how he made his best music when he was constrained to 8track & knowing that roni size would delete all his work when it was his time so he had to finish stuff. Important to have limitations.

In a world of limitless cultural choices, why and how we choose can run along many dimensions. This is especially true for the ‘curators’ of art and culture, and even more true for DJs and radio presenters.

At this point you’re around ~30 (very young exec), trusted at the holdco, know enough to be dangerous, have learned real business skills and have a global POV. Agencies w/in holdco draft you at end of capstone to a multi-year deal. You’re basically a world killer at that point.

Do any agency holdcos have something that looks like a multi-year rotational program? Ex: Holdco scouts you in college as a management prospect, and you make a mutual commitment to be developed through the system for a number of years with a fat bonus + reward at the end of it.
