@politilols @seeksharpe @Pirat_Nation Eh, yes and no. It can do 95% of things I can't do, for sure. But I still have to interfere because there are plenty of cases where it can't perform the task properly. And I would argue gpt5.4-5.5 is better than opus4.6

I don't know a single person who is as good of a programmer as Opus 4.6 and the harnesses have improved so much that hallucination rates are super low. But in tech people are adaptive and as such you aren't becoming obsolete, you just change.

@nuel_irl So just put the video through AI sampler with a prompt to add dynamic lighting while preserving cel shading? I mean they could literally do it. IT CAN be done now in less than an hour. But it would just take away the value from the manual work

@seeksharpe @Pirat_Nation They code. But without typing the syntax. There is not enough time for you to write all the tests required for AI to not break the project or make it a complete mess.

@Pirat_Nation Why wouldn’t they use AI? nobody practically codes anymore at the top tech companies and game studios laregly work with code and game engines, as long as they verify the work and make sure it comes out to their vision this shouldn’t be an issue.

@Pirat_Nation Sound and music are the obvious ones, you can make those with AI now. Coding is probably the biggest no-no for AI. It handles the simple stuff, but it can’t build complex systems. Unless you’re using a game engine’s AI to assemble existing modules, but ut has major limits

@Pirat_Nation AI animating and consistent texturing are the things that really suck now, everything else is getting really good. Either way, 3D is dead in the near future. Plus, game engine companies provide their own AIs that are trained on the existing projects and can make simple games now
