*COMUNICATO STAMPA AMBASCIATA ISRAELE IN ITALIA* 9 Aprile 2026 L'attuale situazione nel sud del Libano è il risultato del fallimento e dell’inazione del governo libanese nel rispettare i propri obblighi. Il governo libanese, infatti, non ha provveduto al disarmo di Hezbollah né a garantirne il ritiro a nord del fiume Litani, come previsto dalla Risoluzione 1701 del Consiglio di Sicurezza ONU. Invece di riconoscere tali mancanze, il governo libanese — che include ancora ministri di Hezbollah — continua a sottrarsi alle proprie responsabilità, arrivando a dichiarare falsamente di aver completato il disarmo dell’organizzazione e a non impedire il lancio di razzi contro Israele e attribuendo la responsabilità della situazione a Israele stesso. Di fronte a questa situazione, e alla persistente minaccia alla propria sicurezza, Israele agirà per raggiungere questi obiettivi autonomamente. Israele non affida la propria sicurezza a forze straniere. Il fallimento della missione UNIFIL nell’applicare la Risoluzione 1701 costituisce una chiara dimostrazione di questa necessità. Per quanto riguarda le accuse relative a danni alle forze UNIFIL, si sottolinea che, a causa della continua presenza e attività di Hezbollah nel sud del Libano, l’area costituisce un teatro di combattimento attivo. Per queste ragioni, Israele ha avvertito le forze UNIFIL e ha trasmesso costanti messaggi affinché venga esercitata la massima cautela. Le forze UNIFIL non sono oggetto di attacchi deliberati. Qualsiasi incidente o episodio anomalo viene esaminato in modo approfondito e con piena trasparenza. Israele continuerà ad adottare tutte le misure necessarie per difendere la propria popolazione e prevenire ulteriori minacce alla propria sicurezza nationale, esercitando pienamente il proprio diritto alla difesa.
