@JeremyHreben I acknowledge it’s not common, but also not impossible if they WANT to. We have had many multi-sport athletes in our program and some on our current team. The most important point of that tweet was “enjoying having fun with friends” without the pressures of rankings at 13yo.

Really struggling to find words to how this makes me feel. I was still playing three sports and enjoying having fun with my friends at this age…so why can’t these kids do that too?

@rew665 @CoachKrysiak First I don’t think the kids should be playing in January for sure and they are playing high school ball from February to at least May. But with that said @rew665, your statement other than upper level D1 talent is incorrect at least here in Texas.

@CoachKrysiak Because they aren’t truly A level teams with players that have any chance to play on the D1 or D2 level.We never played tournaments that time of year it was for strength conditioning and hitting lessons preparing to play the top teams in the country at nationals

I have a real question. Why are travel ball teams playing tournaments in January and February?

@coachalyssarazo I agree Transparency is a problem and it is a two way street. I feel the best way to achieve transparency is relationship building coaches with recruits and recruits with the coach. It’s a lot harder to hide things when you care about and truly want what’s best for a person.

I wish college coaches would provide the same transparency they’re wanting from athletes they’re recruiting. I know you’re busy running a team, however with the madness that is the transfer portal, we all know recruiting has drastically changed, and these 24s can feel it..

@s_lex23 I’m with you Lex! We have to do something but we will need the help of the top select organizations. We are draining the kids mentally and physically as well has stressing parents financially. I love this game as much as anyone can but the girls need more time to be a kid
