"[...] Along with that, they would risk alienating evangelicals who do prioritize so-called “culture war” issues."
Pretending(?) only textbook white evangelicals prioritize "so-called" Culture War issues after the last 2 years is a bold strategy.

@BrentWoodcox @NCGOP @RoyCooperNC The era in which the most strident HB2 defender on the ballot got the most votes. The one that presaged ever expanding and intrusive Woke gas-lighting, leveraging the same identity politics that most (every?) Rs and sensible UAs now regard as anathema and a historic threat to USA

@jeffmoorenc @YDSA_ECU Minimum wage not being enough to live off of… because of capitalism. This isn’t a good thing for these 14 years olds tho. It pushes our society to demand more and more child laborers at younger ages. In Seattle you’re allowed to work at 13. This is scary, how young will they go?
English

@tayepurks @YDSA_ECU Hi Taye. The dumb part is in blaming "capitalism" for current labor pressures that lead McD's into targeting 14/15 year olds for hire. Also, that hiring young is particularly new; 14&up have been hired at this and other fast food chains for years, and good for those 14 year olds.
English

@jeffmoorenc @YDSA_ECU Out of curiosity, why is this dumb? Working at 14 is technically child labor?

@kristinhock @BuckSexton I'm a business owner. Why do you want the government to trample my individual right to dictate who/how I hire employees?

Noem refuses to stop vaccine mandates in her state.
Not for individual rights!!
Not a conservative!!!

@BuckSexton has embarrassing himself. @KristiNoem is right. How in the world this has become the perspective of supposed 'conservatives,' let alone those assuming the golden microphone, is beyond me.

@danway_carolina @NCTreasurer @DaleFolwell Far from requiring politicization, these two issues have been inherently political, from the point of emergence until now, imo.

It’s in turbulent times like these defined by overblown rhetoric that North Carolina needs the calm reasoning of elder statesmen. Take @NCTreasurer @DaleFolwell for example… #ncga #ncpol

One state official says the rhetoric over vaccines and masks has gotten too heated. @TimBoyumTV talks with @NCTreasurer @DaleFolwell about the issue tonight. Tune in at 7! #ncpol

@PeteKaliner None of these replies are shocking or surprising to anyone who has been paying attention...

@BrentWoodcox If fraternity shenanigans are even the least bit similar as they were 15 years ago, the 'rona is the last thing those freshmen need to worry about being on that fountain spigot.

Yeah, it'd be a shame if those battered women could just walk in a buy a pistol to protect themselves from their abuser. Probably safer for them to wait in line, wait 14 days (or 2 months), and then finally enjoy the right of self-defense. #ncpol #ncga House Bill 398 #halfsmart

The defensive retort, "That's not CRT" is made by bad actors intentionally obscuring the point, or those useful idiots that entirely miss the point.
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D.@SenBillCassidy
Third, Critical Race Theory is not in this bill, never has been. Equity is not a catch-phrase for CRT. Language in this bill DOES NOT change current anti-discrimination laws at all. (7/9)
