Sunday's horse racing thread 🧵 Leopardstown 2.30 City Of Memphis 11/8 Longchamp 2.50 Hankelow 8/1 each way Longchamp 3.25 Diamond Necklace 1/1 NEXT BEST Leopardstown 3.40 Pierre Bonnard 10/11 NAP The money keeps coming for CITY OF MEMPHIS at Leopardstown and it is easy to see why. She has won 2 from 3 and impressed winning on reappearance. She is obviously in deeper waters here but can keep improving and looks a filly to keep on side. Signora is going the right way too and is the danger. Obviously Puerto Rico could be hard to beat here but HANKELOW is a really nice each way price so I'm happy to chance him. He has won 2 from 3 and I was impressed with how he beat Al Zanati on final outing. That horse won a Group race at Chantilly and then bumped into the exciting Raaheeb at Sandown so the form looks good. If he improves again he could surprise a few here. I don't expect there to be an upset here and DIAMOND NECKLACE is very much the one to be on. She went 3-3 as a 2yo and she should have lots more to come this season. I know she is short in the betting but that is with good reason and given she is unexposed over a mile it would be no surprise to see an impressive performance here under Ryan Moore. I'm happy to put a line through that reappearance run from PIERRE BONNARD here last month. He looked like he needed the run badly and if he strips fitter here he could take a lot of beating now. I know Aidan O'Brien still holds him in really high regard and they will be hopeful he can get back on track before being targeted at bigger pots with The Derby dream still very much alive.
