@shanesveller Yeah. I’m looking at the app blocking features though. For example, with Be Focused if I block an app it hides the window and when I click on its running icon in the dock it pops up a message saying it’s blocked. No idea how they manage to know I clicked another app though.

What I’ve found online is to write a kernel extension, use spctl or management profiles. I don’t think these apps are doing any of those things though. 🤔

There are a few focus/pomodoro apps for mac like @flow__app, @getcoldturkey, @heyfocusapp and @xwavesoft be focused that support blocking apps. Anyone have… any idea how they work? I’d really like to build my own thing with some specific integrations that these don’t support.

@Jaym7t5 @thedavidcrosby Might be a hybrid guitar from hybrid-guitars.com a common tuning is G-C-F (bass range) C-F-Bb-D (guitar range) with split pickups that output separate bass and guitar signals.

@mitchhanberg I’ve hooked it up to my personal m1 MacBook Pro and it works fine. IIRC on both you may need a 3rd party thing - ScreenResX to get macOS to recognize the max resolution. At first the picture also looked like garbage until I turned OFF HDR, not sure what was up with that…

@mitchhanberg I have this exact monitor. I like it quite a bit although I do find window management on macOS kinda meh. I use Amethyst and do a "3-column wide" layout where the center column is larger for whatever I'm focusing on. Feel free to let me know if you have other questions about it

@Adkron I have a wide 5k2k monitor that I use for programming. I like it on wide monitors so the extremities are closer. Im a hermit and never pair in person, but I imagine it would be fine - you’ll probably have your code in the middle and it would be no different than any flat monitor
