So many of the folks fantasizing about ways they would have protected Luigi from police, etc. are the same people who regularly fail to listen to and act in solidarity with disabled people. You could have *already* been living that radical life and "sticking it to The Man".

Bc the experiences that it's speculated Luigi has gone through due to chronic illness, chronic pain, injury, and disability are also those of the friend you stopped seeing, the coworker you call unreliable, the "overdramatic" family member, the unhoused person you ignore, etc.

To nondisabled folks identifying with, developing empathy for, and pledging to protect a certain dashing young man with a spinal condition and memorable Italian name: Ok now do that for every disabled person.

This is a reminder that the rule of law is on the ballot. Also, let's not forget that there was *never* any remotely credible evidence that the election was fraudulent. The conspiracy theories to the contrary were laughably stupid. There was zero legal justification for this.

Good people will vote for Harris. Good people will vote third party. Good people will vote for Trump. I don't think each vote is equally correct, but our vote does not define our character. How we treat people does. It's the ends-justifies-the-means ethos that corrupts us.
