the second place, friday was pizza night so i’d stress the nurses and skip breakfast and lunch so i could finish dinner really there was a freedom from acquiescing to others that i loved, as much as you can love anything in a psych hospital

sometimes i am struck by random hospital memories like walking around in circles to avoid looking like i needed or wanted medication. or the guy doing diy grills with uno cards. weird times.

and then sometimes i think of how one of my favorite nurses tried to get everyone to call me “puzzles” bc that was all i did every day for days and i chuckle. anyway. puzzles are cool, huh? puzzles and nurses.

so i went to the hospital again. i’m okay, been out again almost a month. but there were a couple weeks in there where they wanted to put me in a residential program in PA that didn’t have space so my time seemed interminable. sometimes i get random, unpleasant flashbacks.
