It would be great to have EM Trainees shadow / work alongside there local Ambulance Trust in developing a greater understanding of pre-hosptial capabilities and strengthen the link between community and the ED.

New #APLS status epilepticus guideline published. * Timings are tighter, new intervention every 5 mins * Levetiracetam is 2nd line agent Why? 90% self terminate within 4mins, but >5mins = 80% chance of >30min duration = ⬆️ risk of death. Early intervention crucial #FOAMed

Successful afternoon self-rostering.
Consultant rota completed up until Christmas Day in under 2 hours. Emergency Medicine is hard at the moment and I couldn’t do it without this team. No tears, no arguments, just team work and lots of laughs. @NorthMidNHS @drandresmartin
